Richard Meres earned his undergraduate degree in Broadcast and Electronic Communications from Marquette University in 1989 and his postgraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Communications, Asian Studies and Economics) from the University of Montana, Missoula in 1998. Richard earned additional university credits in ELL Methodology and Education from the University of Maine, Presque Isle in 2007. Richard was awarded a High School Teaching License from the Miyagi Board of Education in 2008. Richard worked as a full time high school teacher in Sendai for fourteen years. He has been a full time lecturer and a member of the Center for Culture and Language Education at Tohoku University since 2015. His research interests include prosody and rhythm in language acquisition. Richard’s special interests include English presentation technique and CALL classroom management.
